POSITION SUMMARY
CHC seeks an experienced professional to join its capital markets team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage all of the financing activities for the CHC private real estate fund business.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Source and manage entity level financing, including bilateral and syndicated subscription facilities, across various investment vehicles interfacing with both lender groups and CHC’s portfolio management team
Engage with various product groups’ asset management, development, and acquisition teams to assess the proper financing strategies and assumptions for each investment financing – acquisition and development - and refinancing of current loans
Manage the workflow and relationships with various debt capital markets intermediaries
Manage the debt procurement process including intermediary engagement or direct marketing; review or prepare financing memoranda; management of lender marketing lists; selection of lenders; negotiation of term sheets, loan applications/commitments and loan documents; and management of the loan diligence/closing process/ongoing debt oversight
Engage hedging intermediaries on floating rate loans and assess, implement, and monitor hedging strategies
Maintain relationships with our existing lenders and foster relationships with new capital sources
Attend various lender conferences for relationship building and general education regarding the current state of the debt capital markets
Prepare and participate in investment committee presentations
Oversee CHC’s debt management system
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (business, accounting or finance preferred)
7+ years of relevant industry experience
Subject matter expertise in real estate lending with exposure to asset level financing and financing documentation, real estate financial modeling, cash flow valuation and underwriting
Excellent analytical, financial and quantitative skills, with highest level of attention to detail
Demonstrated interpretive knowledge of property level financial statements and financial analysis
Superior oral and written communication skills, demonstrates confidence and enthusiasm
Excellent external and internal communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across multiple constituencies
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
