Griffis Residential: Director of Marketing and Communications

Overview
The Director of IR and Corporate Communications provides strategic and tactical Investor Relations (IR) marketing and communication programming for Griffis Residential’s private equity apartment funds business via the development, coordination, and delivery of fund offering documents, roadshow presentations, ongoing investor communications, public relations, and investor conferences. The Director of IR and Corporate Communications supervises marketing communications staff and oversees the data integrity and use of the investor CRM platform and private equity online presence.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees marketing, communications and PR programming and execution for Griffis Residential’s apartment funds business
Collaborate with company executives to create and distribute strategic, value-driving investment messages, including news releases, board and investor meeting materials, and other key collateral for internal and external investor communications
Drives the creation and distribution of fund offering documents and presentations
Manages the development, production, and distribution of quarterly and annual investor reports
Responsible planning and execution of traditional and online advertising and email campaigns for existing and prospective clients
Develops and improves sales tools in cooperation with the capital markets team to streamline, track and report on fundraising activities
Manages Griffis Residential Investments online assets and related content development
Supervises the marketing communications staff
Responsible for driving investor CRM usage and data integrity for fundraising activities
Responsible for monitoring Griffis Residential’s adherence to brand standards across print and digital assets
Oversees planning and execution of in person and online investor and corporate events, including advisory committee meetings, annual meetings, the annual award celebration, and other events as required

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or management from a four-year college or university is required
A minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role in areas of marketing or communications
Experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or a similar industry preferred
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of email marketing tools, specifically Mailchimp and Outlook
Knowledge of investor CRM platforms, preferably DYNAMO Software
Knowledge of graphic design software, specifically Adobe Creative Suite
Other
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Depth of digital expertise across all channels, including search engine optimization, search engine advertising, social media, digital, display media, traditional media, email marketing, web development, etc.
Understanding of target audiences, customer segmentation, and demographic profiling
Creative writing skills (website, email, blogs, press releases, collateral, etc.)
Project management skills
Strong financial acumen
Proven ability to build integrated investor communication and marketing campaigns
Manage a high volume, diverse workload in a deadline-driven environment
Independent thinker with developed problem-solving skills
Ability to work and interact effectively with all levels of the organization and outside partners
