The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has placed $50 million into a recent Faropoint Ventures vehicle, Industrial Sale-Leaseback (SLB) Fund which is a is a closed-end, value-added fund focused on industrial properties in the U.S. with a focus on functional infill industrial properties and was launched on Aug. 1. The Industrial Sale-Leaseback (SLB) Fund has a maximum size of $300 million.
On Oct. 31, this announcement an investment was emailed by TRS spokesperson Rob Maxwell.
The Teacher Retirement System of Texas is a public pension fund, managing the retirement security of Texas public education employees. It has 15 percent allocated to real estate assets out of total assets of $203.7 billion in total assets.
