Seasoned real estate investment professional brings 15 years of experience to firm’s investor relations team
(May 16, 2023 – Chicago, IL.) – Waterton, a national real estate investor and operator, today announced the hiring of Matt Porath as a senior vice president of investor relations.
Based out of Cleveland, OH, Mr. Porath brings over 15 years of investor relations, housing research, and wealth management experience and will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with prospective investors in the eastern United States and Canada as well as leading the firm’s multifamily fundraising strategies in Europe and the Middle East. Mr. Porath was formerly managing director of investor relations at Citymark Capital, where he was responsible for coordinating fundraising and business development initiatives with existing and prospective investors in the firm’s private equity real estate funds.

Prior to Citymark, Mr. Porath worked for Zelman & Associates, where he managed relationships with clients including top domestic and international hedge funds, mutual funds, pension funds, private equity firms and quantitative funds. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and in 2022, was recognized as one of Crain’s Cleveland Business’ “40 Under Forty.”
